Yes, Huskers’ Big10 sched is a bit different than AAC, but 15-30 record does not keep you as HC.

Nebraska is not quite the same draw and program it was when Frost played there. Pretty much a bottom feeder in the Big 10 and has been since day one. Through it all, they still have a great fan base and have tremendous support. Just not enough entertainment options in that state.

At least the 13,000 Husker fans who made the trip to Dublin were treated to free beer...but had to wait in quite a line for their beer!

Small private school with high academics vs 2-faced cheating behemoth….I’ll

State of Nebraska GDP - $150B

City of Dallas (Dallas/Plano/Irving) GDP - $381B

I’ve felt for a long time the best days of Cornhusker FB are behind them.

Being a likable hometown hero will buy you a lot more time. He's definitely both.

But Nebraska's days are over due to far more than budget and population. NU ran a weak conference alongside OU when all they had to play was the Sooners. Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State and underachievers like Colorado and Mizzou were cannon fodder. Beat the Sooners and you win the Big 8.

That and things like Title IX, one of the first things to go when the Big 8 brought in Texas, helped them land premier talent. All the metrics that worked to help NU have changed, and they have gladly traded their leadership roles for a place at the longterm table.

The GDP of the city of Dallas (Dallas/Plano/Irving) is 3.3x greater than the entire state of Nebraska.

I don’t think they have the money to compete with the upper echelon schools.

After yesterday's loss, Scott Frost is now 15-30 at Nebraska.

Bo Pelini was fired after going 67-27.

If Frost wins his next 50 games in a row, he would still have a worse record at Nebraska (65-30) than Bo did.

Agreed. Frank Solich was 58-19 (.753) at Nebraska and still got the shaft. He was also a former Nebraska player.

IMO there are staff at SMU that we should ask the same question about.
