Agree. And based on the recent team history at the end of seasons, we shouldn’t be ranked yet.

Yes; how about our guys just go out and EARN a Top 25 ranking. This year's schedule will certainly afford an opportunity to do it

I agree with you all. When I see we are getting no votes my first reaction is to feel snubbed. This is because of my knowledge of the team that breeds my optimism. But, being objective, as you all rightfully share we haven’t really earned it yet.

I think this year we will end up ranked, and certainly believe we have the potential to end up ranked.

Objectively. You can’t fault coaches and writers for not being convinced and needing to see it.

..in the 8 years we’ve been in the American, our highest finish is 3rd. And we’ve only finished higher than 5th twice. So, we need to show what we can do. And I believe this year’s team has a high ceiling.

Oh how I’d love to win the conference this year before three teams depart. Will be a tall task, but possible.

And let's not forget the outgoing Big XII Commish's statement regarding the teams who were invited to backfill once Texas and OU leave. Something along the lines of: "we chose the programs with the best athletes". That would make it really satisfying to beat Houston, UCF & Cincy (not to mention TCU) this year whereas losing to those teams would be very telling.

And, oddly, we actually dropped in the CBS rankings one position down to #45.
