....was able to get our Defense on the prayer list at church. We have quite a few good Methodists here on their knees praying for our D in advance of Friday night. Judges 6:33 - 7:15

I won't even begin to try and unpack this one...suffice to say that the past 40 years would seem to substantiate your statement, at least regarding SMU football and the prayers that have no doubt been offered on its behalf.
