I also thought it a little odd that UNT would fire the coach who got them to a bowl game vs. Boise. Glad we beat Memphis, or we may have been in that bowl.

That bowl would have been an easier commute, but we didn't enjoy our last trip there.

Periodically, I look at the UNT message board. It appears that the UNT faithful have had an ongoing desire to find the guy that will take them to the next level and be nationally relevant. Seth has been a .500 coach and can’t win the big game (i.e. bowl games, conference championship games, and vs SMU).

I agree that he probably didn’t deserve this. UNT was irrelevant for many years before he arrived. I think that they may regret it in a few years. Perhaps Seth’s old buddy Sonny will give him the special advisor role that he enjoyed under Paterson.
