Breaking: Rice, Thomas, Gaffney out for New Mexico Bowl

SMU football head coach Rhett Lashlee said Saturday that All-America wide receiver Rashee Rice will not play in the New Mexico bowl next week as he finishes healing the toe injury that has bothered him for much of the season. In addition, Lashlee said that senior offensive lineman Jaylon Thomas, who played all five positions on the line during the season, had shoulder surgery and will miss the game, ans wide receiver Dylan Goffney suffered a foot injury in the Mustangs' game against Memphis and will not play either.
