Thorough preparation

ESPN owns the New Mexico Bowl and is broadcasting it tonight.

As networks always do, they try to drum up interest in future events. So during the broadcast of the Las Vegas Bowl, they showed a graphic selling Tanner Mordecai and Rashee as players who are among the best in the country at their respective positions.

Pat McAfee jumps in, declaring that "Rashee Rice can really play." No mention from McAfee, play-by-play guy Dave Pasch or Kirk Herbstreit that Rice isn't playing — information that was announced a week ago.

Your point is valid but I’m fine with them drawing in eyeballs.
