So if PAC 4 elects to either expand or merge, I assume Kliavkoff will be front and center calling the shots. Very scary. He inherited much of the mess created by Larry - and the media landscape was frought with land mines, but nonetheless he was outplayed throughout the media process.

I assume Oregon State, Washington State, Stanford and Cal end up in the Mountain West, and that if the Pac-12 survives in any form, Kliavkoff gets canned. Debate all day whether the conference's demise is his fault or his predecessors fault, but he was commissioner when Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Arizona State, USC, UCLA and Colorado jumped. It's hard to believe anyone could survive that kind of exodus, whether or not it was his fault.

IF the merger occurs it would be MWC commissioner Nevarez driving the bus, not hapless GK.

No merger. PAC remainders will issue invites. No human named so far in this thread will be in charge of the new conference in a year.

Kliavkoff needs to go. They'd be better off with an intern.

Not sure the remaining PAC 4 or anyone they could invite will drive the number of Apple subscriptions needed to do anywhere near the deal that had been offered previously. Come 2024, the B1G will be broadcasting games 12+ hours on Saturdays and cutting into what was PAC-12 and MWC time slots. Big XII will also have plenty of programming for Saturday nights. Kliakoff's future does not look bright.

I watched sports for the first time on AppleTV last night (FC Dallas getting worked by Messi). The presentation was good, not great. The app is just basically a copy of the ESPN+ app. The ASU president made it sound like it was groundbreaking.
