Star-Telegram's Mac Engel suggests Frogs were none too thrilled that SMU landed Jordan Hudson, Kyron Chambers. Did it impact the future of the series?

Yes, "stealing back" a player you stole from SMU's recruiting class, even if it was "your class" hurts, doesn't it Sonny? Payback is rough, but you made your bed, Sonny!

Which is worse? The whiny baby Gary Patterson or the two-faced hypocritical Sony Dykes? In a way TCU did us a favor by taking him off of our hands. Anyone who was willing to start the coaches son over Max Duggan is not a decent evaluator of talent.

The Snayke is just using TCU like he did SMU as a stepping stone to try to get what he wants. Possibly
a return to Texas Tech or more likely a perennial top 10 school in the SEC, or B1G. Doesn't care about tradition, students, or alumni of any school with the exception of TT. Only himself.

TCU has shown that it won't keep a good coach forever as Fatterson learned. Dykes bought himself some leeway after last season, but a losing season or two and he'll be gone. So, he needs to win badly this year if he wants to move up. Also TT is picked to be pretty good this year, so that job may not be open for awhile. Let's give him a big turd sandwich in September.

With NIL we are a few years away from completely owning tcu. If we get the ACC that time frame accelerates. As the old saying goes, money talks and b.s. walks!

That’s exactly why they are running from us.

Who knows but you could be right. I got a kick out of the 30 for 30 "Pony Excess" reference to TCU as a program that was paying (remember their $50k RB?) but winning only 3 games as "the definition of a loser"

During the time we had Patterson did you guys have 6 or 7 head coaches? I lost count about the time our QB's dad left...

I didn't realize this, but apparently Engel teaches at SMU.

He does, or at least he did. I remember a DMN article on him on his first day in class where he asked the students who picked SMU because of the football team and no hands went up, yet when he taught at TCU a number of students raised their hands from the same question.

This is an article written for the sake of getting something out there - it's actually good for us as it continues to discuss something that has been 'put on hold.' But this issue goes deeper than a couple of players and we all know that.

Not that it matters, but since when did we care about TCU's feelings? And with the changing landscape of College Football, an open date could be more advantageous that a game with TCU.
