If Lamar Hunt has his number honored with the other players (Dickerson, etc.), SMU needs to get David Miller's number up in Moody immediately. Yes, the court is named after him, but that was paid for. This is something where the school needs to do something MAJOR for him. Name a building after him?

I assume the revenue forfeited (what would have come as a G5 member) could amount to as much as $100 million so yes, a lot of thanks to whoever is participating in doing this for SMU. With an opportunity to finally again compete on a level playing field, hopefully it won't take long for SMU to field Top 25 teams and I selfishly love the fact that most of our games will be played in the eastern time zone. For me, this is like being back in the SWC as I worked with or am a neighbor of Florida State, UNC, Clemson, N.C. State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Syracuse alumni. This is going to be fun!
Let's hope we get to play Virginia this year in the Ft Myers basketball tournament.

The more the NCAA, the schools, players and conferences make it about MONEY, the more SMU will be competitive.

Isn't that total way over $100M? I thought I read somewhere that it is $200-300M. Am I wrong?

That would be referring to revenue the school "might" have received as an ACC member, but what we are actually forfeiting is what we would have earned without the invite which would have been AAC revenue. Two different ways to look at this.

Cool. Thanks, CP, for the clarification.
