We have good records against other four legged critters in close combat...

Many (most?) schools have rules about no live mascots on the field, at least for visiting teams.

SMU had that rule, even when stupid A&M brought its stupid dog and nearly got Derrick Thompson seriously hurt when that A&M Scoutmaster shoved Thompson into the brick wall.

Big boot guy never even made contact. Our guy moved first. Still garbage that they allowed the doggie (however good boy they are) on the field.
