OFFICIAL: SMU vs RICE PREDICTIONS & ROLL CALL

Rice Stadium 6:30pm ESPNU.....This will be a much tougher test for the Mustangs, especially our pass defense. Rice is similar to Navy, they play hard, never quit, smart, don't make many mistakes. Rice is also is much more talented than Navy, Their QB, JT Daniels, is a former 5 star out of high school, that began his career at USC, then started a handful of games at Georgia, started 10 games at West Virginia, before transferring to Rice as a 6th year senior. The 49ers Christian McCaffrey's brother, Luke, transferred from Nebraska to Rice. He's an all-purpose player, that has played QB, RB, but mainly receiver at Rice. Winning at Rice has been tough for the Ponies, in what could be our final trip there. It's the Feisty Night Birds Homecoming game, and we will get their best shot, on our Farewell Tour.
Need every Mustang fan possible to be there...this is a big game.

For those in Dallas, not a bad road trip either. AirFare is cheap to Houston. Or not a bad drive. Relive the SWC days and road trip to Houston.

Our D will shut them down. No, not a shut out but something like 35 to 12.

I figure our defense will continue to shine. We'll hold them to 17 points. Their defense gives up points, so it will be something like 38-17, and will be a fight. We have to bring our big boy pants to this game.

Cruising around the internet - 85% chance smu wins and the margin of victory is 10 ish.
I think it will be more and the defense is getting an attitude.

I see this game coming down to who can protect the ball better. Stone's season stats: 19 TDs vs 5 INTs. Daniels' season stats: 19 TDs vs 6 INTs. If we protect the ball, SMU wins by 10 points...something like 34-24. Rice will need to create some turnovers to pull off the upset. If our D can create turnovers, SMU wins by more than 10 points
