Kickoff Times And Television Networks For First Three Weeks Announced

DALLAS (SMU)- SMU Football kickoff times and television networks for the first three weeks of the 2024 season were announced Thursday by the FBS conferences and their TV partners as well as select other games throughout the season.

The Mustangs' season opener at Nevada on Aug. 24 will be played at 7 p.m. CT and shown on CBS Sports Network. The following week, SMU hosts HCU on Aug. 31 in its home opener at Gerald J. Ford Stadium on ACCNX at 7 p.m. CT, while the Mustangs welcome BYU for a 6 p.m. CT kick on Sept. 6 on ESPN2.

Times and TV information for all remaining games are TBD and will be announced as they become available.

Kind of sad the Mountain West can't do any better than CBSSN when there is literally no other football being broadcast yet. HBU is not a surprise either; at least espn2 is good and TV slots after that should be good as well.

Networks may b e disappointing but the times are Prime. Nice to be a primetime TV slot instead of an 11 AM dead end slot.
