Dickerson and Armstrong Selected To National High School Football Hall Of Fame
CANTON, Ohio (SMU) – SMU legends Eric Dickerson and Harvey Armstrong were selected to the National High School Football Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held in Canton this upcoming weekend.
The two were part of the second annual class that was made up of 34 inductees including such legendary figures as Ernie Davis, [deleted] Butkus, Reggie White, Billy Sims, and Eddie George.
The two-day event will begin with the Bronze Plaque reveal at McKinley Senior High School on Friday at 3 p.m. ET and a meet and greet reception at the DoubleTree Hotel at 7 p.m. ET. The Enshrinement Ceremony is set for Saturday at 4 p.m. ET at the Zimmerman Symphony Center.
The National High School Football Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring the legacy of exceptional athletes, coaches, and contributors in high school football. The purpose is to not only celebrate their achievements but also to foster the growth of young talent and inspire the next generation. Through mentorship and educational programs, trade shows, film festivals, camps, 7-on-7 national championships, an enshrinement ceremony, and a charity golf tournament, we aim to create a comprehensive platform that enriches lives, promotes sportsmanship, and perpetuates the spirit of the game.
