Who starts at QB?

How have we not addressed the elephant in the room? Who starts at quarterback against Froggy High?

We all can agree that neither played well against BYU, and both were running for their lives. Stone got sacked 3 times in 3 drives and never played again. KJ ran better but missed a bunch of throws.

I don’t know who should start, but I assume it will be Stone because he’s older and more experienced. I kind of hope Lashlee doesn’t announce it at all, so the Frogs remain in the dark.

Stone IMO

I wonder if he is taking more sacks because they have told him to quit running backwards, and that’s just his natural way to avoid them (he’s good at it too).

Start Stone and barring injury leave Stone in the entire game.

I would look at it from the opposite view. If we change the starter to Jennings, it means that we don't think the OL can be fixed.

I don't think that is the case. I think we will fix the structural issues with the OL through the bye week and Stone is back as the starter.

Stone is the better passer. With an extra week I believe the O-Line can be adjusted. Need to establish some running like Smith and quick passes.

I hope we leave Stone in the whole game this time. I think many thought (including myself at times) that we might be missing out on Jennings' lightning in a bottle, but this game showed that we really were not. And just like last year, one injury is all it takes to eliminate one of them, so I hope we can keep both of them primed and ready.

Stone should be our full time QB. And let’s see more of the quick outs or slants so the ball is out quicker. They called those plays with Jennings in there. On Sat when Stone was in there there it was drop straight back and be immediately overwhelmed, no adjustments or creativity. They did call one QB draw for Stone and it wasn’t successful but mix in more of that to keep the D honest at least.

I don’t like this decision, I was hoping Stone would get the spot.

RL let into a lot of his thought process in the press conference. I think they have OL issues, but the bigger issue is the ability to threaten every part of the field. Preston's lack of interest in taking the hot route option and focus on the deep ball is the reason the decision was made.

Hopefully KJ will work on his passing. Hopefully it’ll work out.

KJ is a better passer than we saw against BYU. He was terrific when he played last year.
