FSU made a late defensive stand, to give Cal their first loss of the season. They are better than their record, big, strong, fast and talented, their problem has been at quarterback. Let's have your score and attendance predictions, should be a record crowd. The weak and soft SMU fan, doesn't have an excuse this week, 79 degrees at kickoff, 72 by the end.

Before the season, all I wanted was to stay competitive.

Going into this one, that's all I will continue to want.

I don't care that Memphis beat them, I don't care that they probably should be 0-4.

Just be competitive and have an amazing home crowd. Beyond excited for this one and then next week. PONY UP!

They have trouble stopping the run. Cal ran on them all day, just bogged down in the redzone with procedure penalties (probably caused by crowd noise at FSU). Also, they are having the same post Georgia hangover that TCU had. Remember after an undefeated season, they got fileted by the Bulldogs. I like our chances. Also Cal's defense shut them down to 2 TD's. I think our D is better. So, I'll predict a raucous sellout. SMU wins by 2 TD's. 38-24.

Pretty harsh to predict FSU will not make it back to .500 and become bowl eligible! Of course, they think SMU will stick another dagger into the Noles, so we'll see. I don't know if our guys can get as sky high as they were for TCU again but that might be what it takes to beat these guys and keep them from turning things around.

Unfortunately, I agreed to go to Clemson with the family (both my kids went to Clemson and this is a reunion weekend for my daughter with her equestrian group) so I will be at that game constantly checking on our game. I can't bring myself to predict this one as this SMU team has been wildly inconsistent these 1st 4 games. I just hope they can find the same intensity they showed against TCU because if that happens, I do think we can get off to a great start as ACC members.

Teams seem to work out their internal issues against us. If QB2 Glenn Brock starts, we're toast.

Before the season began I hoped that both teams would be 4-0 coming in to this game so that we would have a large national audience tuned in. That didn’t pan out obviously, but it will still be a game people watch out of curiosity. I never really thought we would have a chance to win, and now we are 5.5 favorites!

We can definitely win this game, but I’m concerned about us having only 375 total yards on offense against the frogs. Defense and special teams caused the blowout, and I hope to see more of the same this Saturday.

Before your concern overwhelms you, go look up how many times we punted the ball.

Getting nervous game is cancelled. If there are high winds in Tallahassee due to Hurricane Helena, they won’t take off.

A hurricane is SMU‘s only chance. Hard to see anything but a solid Florida State win. The programs are light years apart.
