Lashlee updates injuries

SMU football head coach Rhett Lashlee updated Mustang injuries during his weekly media session:

RB Jaylan Knighton: out for the year
LB Kobe Wilson: cleared to practice/play
RB L.J. Johnson: day-to-day
S Isaiah Nwokobia: missed practice Tuesday
C Jakai Clark: cleared to practice/play

If there is a silver lining in the knee injuries suffered by Knighton and fellow RB Camar Wheaton, it is that neither tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) — Knighton had surgery to repair his medial collateral ligament (MCL), and Wheaton had surgery to repair his meniscus. Each is a senior, but both have a redshirt year available, and should be cleared for spring practice.
