It's great to see this. When the news broke about SMU trying to get into the ACC, I spent a fair amount of time on the Syracuse board trying to defend the concept that SMU would be worthy of an invitation.

The only problem with Syracuse fans is that most seem still to think it possible that the northeast can once again be important to Major CFB. The region long has had per capita by far the smallest number of passionate CFB fans, and most of those primarily root for either Notre Dame or Penn St. But they think that if Syracuse ever again has a 10-2 team, that TV sets all over the Northeast will start tuning in.

Syracuse was very unhappy that Rutgers somehow became New York's CFB team.
