They will specifically blame SMU. I’m serious. Duke has never beaten them (I know; ugh) but Wake has blasted them a few times and they blame…Wake.

And SMU specifically. It was always Wake's fault for beating FSU, which helped cost them a few recruits.

You should not be in my country so therefore your car should not be there. So if I run into you it is your fault. Now I fully understand the depth of hatred my cousins (who both went to Florida) had for Florida State.
The win last week should have sent shockwaves and a strong reassurance to the rest of the ACC. SMU is not just here to compete, they are here to become a tier I contender year in year out.
SMU was a winning program in 1987 cumulatively. In another year or two, we will be back over .500 overall and on our way back to the Kyle Rote-Doak Walker-Eric Dickerson heydays. It is going to happen.
