Stanford offense

A couple of oddities about the offense SMU will face this weekend:

• The most passing yards by any Stanford quarterback this season is 221, by Ashton Daniels against FCS Cal Poly of the Big Sky Conference. The most passing yards by a Cardinal QB this year against an FBS team? 178, by Daniels against Syracuse.

• Backup quarterback Justin Lanson has three rushing touchdowns this season. The rest of the team, including all running backs: none.

They are dead last in the conference in passing ypg, and lower-middle for rushing ypg. It looks like they have RB by committee.

2nd to last in PPG. Guess who's dead last...

Don't jink us PP. In years past, we have made bad QBs look like Fran Tarkenton.

Ha! You're not wrong ... but isn't there a law limiting that to Navy quarterbacks??

They looked pretty good in the Syracuse game - which admittedly was the only game I have watched.

We have the talent to win. Play aggressive defense, and score at every opportunity. I also expect a special teams TD - its just time.

Yeah but sometimes we make good QBs look like Heath Shuler.

This is the perfect Ole Time Mustang Magic game where we turn a wishbone 3rd string TE into a Heisman candidate.

Almost enough to cause a PANIC!

Our D is stout! Just made a mediocre Stanford offense look flat-out awful.

D was great. O was OK. ST was putrid.

Offense was better than OK, although not as good as the defense.
Special teams were ... less than special.

Except for the punt that lead to the safety
