Will the Saturday affair be a scrimmage or something done under game like conditions with the squad dividedf into two teams and both with an offense and defense?
Posted: Fri Apr 16, 2004 12:23 amIf history is any indicator, probably something closer to your second suggestion. In years past, they've gone through game situations, often one series at a time, but then the coaches will suddenly stop the "game" to kick field goals, or repeat a play -- not because of a penalty or incomplete pass, but to practice a certain aspect that went wrong (a pass route, a blocking scheme, etc.)
Should be entertaining, though. I'm eager for some football, and to check out the new offense.
