Couple of other interesting matchups there, too
Penn State has to play a pretty decent Minnesota team.
Ohio State and Indiana Play.
Ole Miss plays Florida.
A Kentucky team that gave UGA a run for their money plays Texas, and
Undefeated Army plays Notre Dame.
Potential for some upsets there.

SMU should jump Alabama and Ole Miss with each now having 3 losses. I think SMU should also jump Boise State who is just not playing well in a very poor conference. In addition, I think Indiana should drop below us but the committee won’t do that. I predict we’ll be ranked 10 on Tuesday. Keep winning.
I think the ACC is now also positioned for both SMU and Miami to make it to the CFP if we both win out and the ACC championship game is close.

On any given Saturday...you never know what team shows up and plays their best. That's what is so impressive about our season, i.e., that we have managed in win (Nevada & Duke games come to mind) when playing poorly. Like Dabo said sarcastically the other day "the CFP is shaping up as the Big 10 - SEC Invitational". Unless USC beats Notre Dame I expect the Irish to be the "ACC's" 2nd team in and for the loser of the ACC Championship Game to be snubbed

Agree with everything you say here.....unfortunately, when it comes to SMU any predictions that contain the word "should" don't seem to turn out well for us! We need to win out....that has to be the mindset I think because you can bet the committee is already working on their statement to explain how Alabama gets in if we don't win out. In fact, when we crash the party and they also have to let the G5 representative in we may see a complete overhaul of the CFP system next year!

Do not be surprised to see SMU in 13th place when the CFP rankings come out on November 26. All those teams that lost yesterday will be right around us, and I'm sure someone just below us who won will move ahead of us. The committee does not want SMU in the playoffs and will come up with endless excuses to keep them out, if they can. Winning the ACC title game is the only way we'll get in.
