Bowl Games

Tcu headed to Albuquerque vs Louisiana from the Sun Belt in the New Mexico Bowl. We were there 2 years ago, looked like a fun bowl, exciting game but a disappointing ending vs BYU. We were just starting the rebuild after the snake did his thing. Fast forward two years…so sweet it is. Thank you coaches, players, Admin and boosters. Simply amazing.

Speaking of Bowl Games. When we beat Ped State, we get the Fiesta Bowl. However, if we don't, do we lose out on a bowl opportunity?

Yes, the CFP is our bowl, we earn 4M + the CFP pays us 3M for travel expenses to Penn State. Peruna better damn be there, that’s a lot of alfalfa and apples!

And SMU only has to guarantee 3500 fans. I wonder if Peruna will get to run on the field after scores or if Penn State throws a fit that running a pony hurts their field.

Which program would you rather be?

TCU
National championship game
No bowl
New Mexico Bowl

SMU
New Mexico Bowl
Fenway Bowl
College Football Playoff

Their agricultural school/farm is next to their stadium. Don't be downwind of it. Not pleasant.

I am looking forward to the BYU/ CU game. Interesting having a bowl game with two members of the same conference. I guess with the expanded conferences it was inevitable.

5-12 seed game losers play no more games this season.

I wasn't going to watch the CFP selection show on ESPN because I figured it would be too depressing -- I was having flashbacks from last year. But a voice in my head said, "Watch it. Watch the show". So I turned on the TV, about 5 min before the Mustangs logo flashed across the screen. I could not believe it. I was waiting for the ESPN hosts to say, "sorry, wrong graphic" or something.

6-6 California against # 24 UNLV who went 10-3 with 2 losses against Boise State and that 3rd loss coming against Syracuse in OT in Vegas. Should be interesting as UNLV had their coach hired away by Purdue and Cal saw both their starting QB and leading WR enter the portal and opt out of this game

ACC loses another as Pitt falls in 6 OTs to Toledo. Pitt came into Dallas 7-0 and failed to win another game finishing 7-6 on the season. Didn't help that they were without their QB who missed their last 2 games due to injury
