Cooper had a 91 yard TD reception that was the difference in the game but his QB was the MVP. Our QB recruit Ty Hawkins also got a mention here:

My mistake. I read a writeup that tagged Cooper as the MVP.

Not sure how many WR returnees we will have in 2025 with any significant experience. Is Brinson coming back? Hudson might be the only returnee who took a significant number of snaps? Certainly appears there will be opportunities for the incoming FR to contribute and play right away. I'm assuming they might try McFall to fill Daniels' role and limit his carries with what should be a deeper RB room

I was told the expectation is that Brinson and Hudson will be back. Others who are eligible to return include Ashton Cozart, Jaxson Lavender, Randy Reece, Jamarion Carroll, Joey Bruszer, Meyer Pereira, Lance Beeghley, Henry Stickler, Cooper Reed, Keaton Cheves, Jake Peveto, Case Holleron
Derrick McFall is listed on the SMU roster as a WR/RB, but he didn't get any snaps at receiver, did he? Clearly he's in the backfield, considering Brashard Smith's departure and the comparisons that have been made, highlighting the similarities between the two.

McFall did look a lot like Brashard at times. Definitely a guy we need to get out into space because he appeared to have the same quickness and burst that Brashard did...and I'm not sure what Chris Johnson, Jr brings to us. Hopefully a similar type of player

Meanwhile, didn't Dramodd Odoms also play in this game? Anyone watch to see how he looked? We know we need to shore up the OT spots and wonder whether he looks like a guy who can come in and contribute right away?
Saw this on 247 Sports:
SMU signee Dramodd Odoms, a Top247 top 100 four-star offensive tackle, made a strong case throughout Navy All-American Bowl week to rise higher. In the 6-foot-6, 300-pound range with excellent length (34-inch arm, 82 1/2-inch wingspan), Odoms displayed a fearsome field demeanor that showed repeatedly in practices, whether team action or 1-on-1 reps.
Odoms moves quite well relative to his size, and combined with his physical traits and on-field conviction, represents a high-ceiling tackle projection. In a strong 2025 cycle at the offensive tackle position, Odoms has established himself near cycle's end as one of the premier prospects in that coveted group.

Without having watched any of them play, I wonder if Odoms is the best bet to play (or start?) as a freshman. By all accounts, he absolutely destroyed his opponents in high school and was among the most impressive players at any position in the all-star game and its practices.
Elite athlete and he'll be 6-6 and 300 as a true freshman. Can't wait.
