I am shocked - SHOCKED, I tell you - that the chair of the geography department doesn't think school athletics is very important.

But I love the truth bomb dropped by Chancellor Roberts:
“If you go all over the world, and I’m sure most of you have seen this firsthand, you’ll see people wearing our colors and our logo, and they’re doing that mostly because of our sports teams, not because of our political science department.”

It's an interesting bet. Pro coaches don't necessarily make good college coaches and vise versa. Of course college is more pro now so it might be a good move to get someone that knows how to handle professional athletes. We shall see this fall.

Carolina is going to be better than last year, but that's not saying much.

Yeah but they went 3-5 in the ACC, and they didn't have to play SMU, Clemson, Miami, or Syracuse.
