Any news on the grass field at Ford?

I saw on the SMU football Instagram account a picture of the grass field being installed and was curious if anyone knew when it was going to be ready? This will help a lot. Cannot wait until August!

Ford had grass at the start in 2000, right? Then turf a few years after?

Yes, Ford started with a grass field (it was the site of the 2001 Women's College Cup), but I don't remember exactly which it switched over to turf.
As of this morning, just about all of the artificial turf has been ripped out. No timeline on when the grass goes in.

I know the admin is trying to get this completed asap. Maybe it's something AD Evans can push on to keep it on track.

What did they do with the old torn up grass? I could use some around my double wide to prevent erosion.
