Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalFor those who haven't clicked the link, the guys who have entered their names to find new homes:
QB Tyler Aronson WR Jamarion Carroll RB L.J. Johnson OL Reagan Gill LB Zach Smith RB Jaylan Knighton OL Qae'Shon Sapp DL Mike Yoan Sandjo-Njiki WR Ashton Cozart I really shouldn't drink and type.
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalI’m sorry Johnson is leaving. He is a good running back.
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalWe didn't even get to know some of these guys but hopefully Lashlee and his staff can continue upgrading the 2-deep via the spring portal while filling some of these roster openings
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer Portal
With Camar gone and Rooster joining L.J. our RB room suddenly looks a little thin for what can be an injury prone position. I understand why those older guys might want to move on and look for more playing time elsewhere because it looks like we are going to have 3 stud RBs but it would be nice to find a big back in the portal who might serve as a short yardage situational guy. Maybe Stone Eby could be developed as that guy but he's also proven to be a pretty effective lead blocker.
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalNot to mention Brashard Smith heading to the NFL

Re: 2025 SMU Transfer Portal
Let's hope McFall and Johnson prove to be as durable as Brashard was last year
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalSapp was one guy I was really looking forward to seeing play.
Oh well. I really shouldn't drink and type.
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalMuch needed depth for the RB room and looks like a guy who can give us what L.J. Johnson did. Good to have an experienced guy who carries 220 lbs to compliment the younger guys in that room.
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalLove that signing. He looks really good
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalIt seems like every day there is new portal related news. You know a lot of players are getting bad advice from unethical "agents". Crazy times indeed

Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalQuarterback Keldric Luster announced on social media he is entering his name into the transfer portal.
"First off, I want to say I'm thankful for everything Southern Methodist University has provided for me. I am forever blessed and grateful for all the memories I have made here. I would like to thank God for all of his blessings. I am overly humble and excited for what the future holds in store for me. With that being said, I will be entering my name in the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility left." PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalLuster would probably like an opportunity to play QB somewhere? I wondered whether he would consider joining our RB group. He always struck me as a guy who could have contributed as a RB and would always be a threat to throw on the run. We haven't seen that in a while as part of our offensive weapons.
If Luster leaves I assume we will be looking for some depth in the QB room? Plenty of QBs in the portal but how many are looking for a home where they know (or should know) they aren't likely going to compete for playing time??
Re: 2025 SMU Transfer PortalAlso in the portal: WR Randy Reece
