Dabo Swinney on ACC PMWatching Dabo talk about his 2025 team and the challenges on their schedule...he mentioned almost every opponent EXCEPT SMU. Maybe he just doesn't think much of our program? I thought that was really disrespectful and I hope our guys come to Death Valley this year with revenge on their minds. Swinney said Clemson had all but 3 guys on their 2025 roster participate in their spring practice and they return 81% of last year's production. He talked about LSU, Troy, Ga Tech, BC, UNC, Syracuse, Duke and FSU as opponents that make their 2025 schedule very challenging.
Re: Dabo Swinney on ACC PMTowards the end of his interview Dabo talked about Ian Schieffelin transitioning from the basketball program and trying to make their roster as a TE.. At 6'8" and 240 lbs, Swinney talked about how Schieffelin was accustomed to going up and high pointing the ball against other guys his size or taller and taking contact in the process. He talked about how he set picks but couldn't hit anyone and that he now gets to move and hit guys while run blocking. He said Schieffelin was the QB on his H.S. team and also pitched for the baseball team so he's apparently quite an athlete. Should be interesting to see if he develops into a football player at this level. Margus Hunt immediately came to mind for me
Re: Dabo Swinney on ACC PMI am fine with that. We didn't get much respect last year either. Didn't matter much -- may have even helped us.
Re: Dabo Swinney on ACC PMHe will after SMU goes into Death Valley and wins on October 18th!!!

Re: Dabo Swinney on ACC PMThat's the spirit, RunningStang.
For those considering travel, Clemson is quite a game-day environment (no idea about ticket availability), from the tiger paw prints painted on the highway leading to campus, to the stadium that feels like it was built more sharply vertical than many ... which helps get the noise bouncing back and forth. Some of the tailgating efforts there are truly impressive, too. PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: Dabo Swinney on ACC PM
I'm hoping to get 6 seats in the SMU section and make my Clemson daughter, our son-in-law and the 2 grands sit in "enemy territory" with me and Mrs CP. (visitors are usually in an end zone corner) Hopefully the Mustang Club will get a spot on campus for a tailgate. It really is a nice place to visit and a nice setting on Lake Hartwell in the hills of "upstate" SC. Our family tries to get to at least one game every year and the grands always coerce us to enjoy some home made Clemson ice cream as part of any visit to their campus. They have a hotel/Inn and golf course on campus but I've never even tried to stay and play on a football weekend. Clemson is a true "college town" with a year round population under 20,000 so you can imagine what the influx of 80,000 fans does to the city on a football Saturday. Looking forward to this game.
