My take-aways:
#1 Texas high school football rules!!
#2 Based purely on proximity to the best H.S. programs in the country (#2, #3, #9, #18, #24 and #25 would all call the Hilltop the closest D1 program), SMU has the best recruiting territory in the nation followed in Texas by Houston, (and then it ain't even close) TCU and the University of Texas at Austin.
#3 California universities are underperforming based on quality and quantity of their H.S. programs.
