Gratitude for Josh McCown

Remember last year when Josh McCown threw a last-second touchdown pass in the season finale that put Green Bay in the playoffs? The Packers flew the receiver into town for the weekend of the team's first playoff game, had him watch the game from a suite and get a round of applause, etc., and the mayor of Green Bay gave him a key to the city.

I heard on the radio this week that the mayor sent McCown a basket of cheese. If anything, it should have been the other way around.

A basket of cheese? For sacing Green Bay from a mediocre season and allowing the Pack to back their way into the playoffs? They should have done everything short of re-naming Lambeau Field "Josh McCown Stadium."

Last time I checked, football is a team sport and lasts 60 minutes. Maybe you meant Cardinals stadium. All I saw McCown do was throw the ball up for grabs and pray. The prayer was answered.
