Evidently the President of UC in her deposition regarding sexual harrassment by football players referred to the complaining women using that Chaucerian term that rhymes with "punt". Amazing.

The story I read on the net suggested she characterized the word in question as a "term of endearment" when used in certain circumstances. Tried it with my girlfriend last night--suffice to say madame President was wrong.

That term is never good, never.

Can not believe the Pres would even pronounce the word in deposition.

Maybe that's what they were?

They may have been - or if they were doing as stated - what they are.

Given that, I think I could use a different word that would not be so course.

Harlot, Floozy, even cheap street walker

I see nothing of this in the Denver post. What is the story source?

Of course... the football player that used the word was also aware of the history of the word.

Surely.
