Your school always loses, but still manages to be ranked in the preseason? Got incriminating pictures of the voters or something?

Always lose? Yea thats why we have 23 District Championships, Thats why we have the 5th most Playoff Apperances in 5A Thats why we're 515-256-75 since 1922 Thats why we have 11 winning seasons in the past 13 years :wink:

Edit: Not to mention 30 of the past 33 years

Yea Really call that losing

Only a shocker to those that hadn't seen the Wildcats play that year. Since that group is based in Houston, I guess it was surprising to them that anyone could shut down Yates.

That's true - it wasn't a shocker. I think LH won the mythical national championship. They showed the game on cable nationally - I think it was ESPN - and for whatever reason, Reggie Jackson did color commentary.

It shocked me. Although we were undefeated going into the game -- including a pounding adminstered to then hated rival Plano -- Yates had the reputation of being an extremely fast and athletic team. This was not a good matchup for us.
