Posted: Sun Jul 04, 2004 5:24 pmI am putting this on the football board so that more of you will see it. Floyd Addington. of of SMU's greatest golfers, has passed away. His obituary is in today's DMN. Floyd was the leader of SMU's 1954 National Championship team. As a senior in HS he won the individual championship and led Highland Park to the State Championship. While at SMU Floyd won many tournaments and was regarded as one of the outstanding amateurs in the country. Floyd also graduated from the SMU Law School. He will be missed by his many, many friends.
