A colleague of mine has a nephew who plays wideout for TTU. Says he's 6'7 or some such. After spring and going to fall, what's our projected starting secondary? Their heights and times? Hopefully not 5'9, 5'8, 5'9, and 5'10, with 4.7, 4.6, 4.7, 4.65

I believe the starting CBs will be Rolando Humphrey (5-9 and really fast) and Charles Akinyemi (5-8 and almost as fast). Starting safeties are Alvin Nnabuife and Jamey Harper, and they're both in the 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 range, right? If Tech really has a 6-7 WR, then we're going to have to get our guys in perfect position with their speed. Or hope the big guy has hands of stone.

We're obviously not too big in the secondary, especially at CB (get ready, Lindley), but if that WR is really 6-7, he's going to create a matchup problem for every team they play against.

Actually I was wrong. He's 6'9, 240. A junior from Colleyville. Last name is probably Hawkins.

Good gawd - a 6'9" receiver? Time for the equipment guys to start ordering pads and a helmet for Patrick Simpson.

How big is the Jones kid who I guess will replace McGee (if the report that he's leaving is true)? I think I read here that Jones is a JUCO transfer.

The spring game roster lists him at 5-10, 170.
And I gather he was pretty highly recruited out of high school - offered by Kansas State, among others. Might be a nice surprise player.
