Freshmen and everyone else arrive on Thursday the 5th of August. First day on the field is Friday morning.
Practices are closed again but you may be able to watch some through the fence if the team is not in Ford.
OPEN scrimmage will be held August 21st at 7:PM

Just curious, what does "practices are closed again" mean? If they're on the grass fields, you can watch through the fence? And if they're in Ford, no snooping? Thanks for the info.

I think he meant you can barely see anything if anything if they are playing in Ford through the fences. I have never looked through the fences are Ford so I dunno if you can see anything down onto the field from there

When they are practicing on the fields outside of Ford, you cannot go inside the fenced areas. If you don't make too big a deal about it, they usually don't chase you off because you're watching through the fence. When they take the practices inside Ford, they are definitely "closed" practices and you cannot go in...period.

Thanks, PK. In high school, we'd sit in the stands and watch the practices. Glad you filled us in on the college-level protocol!

Invited walk-on start Aug.19. Keep an eye on Greg Taussig, a 6'3" 195 pound all state (Florida) kicker/punter who will compete for the starting job. Taussig also led his high school team in receptions as the starting wide out until injury cut his season short. He has incredible range on his kicks and had over 90% touchbacks last season.

Good gawd. Welcome to the team. If he can continue that, he's the man for kickoffs.
