Nobody gonna mention the decommit of Marvis Brown?

Postby footballdad » Sat Jan 10, 2015 10:18 pm

tweeted yesterday by Billy Embody and no longer listed on our Rivals commit list. No other real offers so don't know where he's going?

Leaves only 1 OL commit in class.

Although we honored our offers, I suspect Morris has been very honest with commits about what he is looking for.

When coaches feel the need to get their own players on the line, they typically build from the outside and move current tackles inside. I wouldn't be surprised if the next two classes are pretty tackle heavy.

We could use a few more of these "decommitments".

They probably were not as high on him as June and his staff was. I know some of the June supporters were claiming that the 2 offensive lineman were really good recruits according to what they were told be June and his staf. Well the new staff would seem to disagree with that. #PonyUp #Tempo

June's scheme revolved around zone blocking. I assume that Morris will run more and thus, have more power blocking needs. One needs quickness, the other heft. Although big uglies are always the most important piece of any football team. You get a line that dominates, you win most of the time.
