we can go 8-4 or 9-3...perhaps that can translate into some major commitments next fall

Am I right that this thing rotates every year, from one university to the next? This is something of which we should be able to take advantage. Getting guys on campus is always the first step. Get them to Ford, show them the first-class facilities and campus, and let the recruiting begin!

I think that's right. I believe TCU and Baylor have each hosted one (or more). It can't help but be beneficial to get all these guys on our campus.

I agree. At this point, it's nothing but unnecessarily negative.

I don't see it that way. There are countless names out there (like .... jtstang, for instance) that are creative, easily identifiable, etc., without being so blatantly negative toward one of our own.

maybe they feel blatently negative. Maybe I think YOUR name is blantently negative toward Mike Dement. I agree with jthorn. What's really a hoot is that guys like Ponyboy have no problem being blatently negative to Mike Cavan, Mike Dement et al. once the honeymoon has worn off but they demand that everybody get on board the Love Train until THEY decide its alright to blame the coaching staff. About 90% of the people on this board have been blatently negative toward at least one SMU coach and demanded he be fired. I personally don't think we should blame our present predicament on any coaching staff at SMU since the DP but some of you are being pretty hypocritical.

This from the guy that was saying a week ago that Bennett couldn't close the deal on recruits.

I'm not sure anyone is blaming the present predicament (whatever that is exactly) on any coach...but Stallion, before you get too much holier than the rest of us, you personally have never had anything good to say about Rossley that I can recall. So criticizing coaches by posters on this board, including you, is not something unheard of.
Opinions are what make up a good percentage of what is posted here...so you got the "sunshiners" and the "realist" and the just negative for the sake of being negative all posting here...hot damn. Keeps things interesting.

I like that, but I'm not changing. Besides, who knows what next season's adopted winning team will be....
