That's true. But let's not forget there's an incumbent -- Jackson Taylor -- coming back. He took over as a freshman last year and did a pretty good job. Deep snapper is one of those positions where you're never appreciated when you do your job, but everyone knows when you make a mistake.

Welcome aboard, Sam!

"Everybody takes a deep snapper for granted, but as soon as a snap goes wrong, you know how important a snapper can be. As good as Sam (6-2, 235) is, he’s also very tough and a very accurate snapper, and he can perform under pressure. Every team would like to have a snapper like Sam."

i just wanted to make another post about how a deep snapper is the most important position on the field until he goofs up a snap, then everyone hates him.

anyway, good to hear a fellow HP alum is headed to SMU.

congrats Sam, glad to hear that you'll now be wearing a jersey on the sidlines on saturday rather than your street clothes. (we sit by your sister(s) and new mom so we've seen all the sideline waves for the last few years).
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
