Saw this on recruiting buzz blog. Could we see Riley Dodge down there in a couple of years? I'm kidding, of course but it seems like they're starting off quick by bringing in kids from winning programs.
Three Southlake Carroll players -- receivers Evan Fentriss and Corbin Smiter and safety Jospeph Agnew -- signed with Rice this morning. Carroll coach Todd Dodge said he wouldn't be stunned if ex-Dragon RB Aaron Luna, a member of the Rice baseball team, joined them on the football team.
Dodge said the new Rice coaches, who are installing a spread offense similar to Carroll's scheme, have asked about Luna.
"With those guys there and the offense they're running, I think the possibility has probably increased," Dodge said when asked if Luna might resume his football career. "Now, I don't know what [Rice baseball coach] Wayne Graham would say about that."
