Kendall Mouton Commits to UH....according to Rivals he is on their list-I also noted a news story that said he committed to Louisiana Monroe. Now Rivals strangely lists solid commitments to both UH and Monroe. So we will see. Said he was second team all conference at Dodge City Kansas this year. The story said he was recruited by Louisville, New Mexico, UNLV, TCU and SMU. Hopefully he will end up at Monroe so we don't have to play against him. If Houston indeed loses him I got about 6-7 decommits from UH during the recruiting season-just about all are 3 stars. Mouton is rated 5.4 although they usually don't rate JUCOs on that scale-must be his his SMU rating.
U of H RecruitingStallion, your comments about U of H recruiting have been correct. Of even greater significance, I checked out the U of H Rivals site after I read your post about Mouton and pulled up their commitment list to check it out, and not only is Mouton on the list, but their list of commits went from 6 I counted yesterday to 22 today. When I clicked on all of the new names, every one of them is indicated as a commitment on either 1/27 or 1/28. And, you're correct about Mouton too. He's shown as solid commitment to U of H on 1/28 and also to La/Monroe on 1/28. The only commits they had yesterday were Blackmon, Castille, Hackney, Lister, Lowe, and Shoemaker. And overnight, they've added 16 new names.
That's too bad. I thought he may be able to make an impact for SMU at some point in the future. Oh well, I'm sure he really isn't that good if UH would take him.
Wasn't there some talk just a few weeks ago about him possibly rejoining SMU? What happened? Why did he leave in the first place?
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
I remember a DMN blurb saying something to the effect that he was academically ineligible, and I specifically remember the blurg saying he wouldn't be back.
Let's not be bashing the guy just because Houston is able to get him into school while SMU couldn't keep him in. We could use another 300 pounder to clog the middle. I hope Handy has bulked up or that Lankford or Smith is ready to contribute this year.
Weird deal. If he was academically ineligible, how'd he get his grades in order to transfer? I thought there were NCAA rules about that.
