Baylor signed yet another National Top 100 with PF Djibril (Penny) Thiam of Stoneridge Prep (Cal) via Senegal. Rated No. 81 by Hoopscoop and the No. 23 NBA prospect in his class by an NBA service.
Marshall signed a Kentucky Division 1A transfer in Allen Williams
Jerry West's signed with his father's alma mater West Virgina.

Drew must be a heck of a recruiter. But Baylor has a religious tradition with mandatory chapel, etc., and some parents really want that for their kids. I don't know if this kid is Christian or Muslim. If he's Muslim, Drew really must be a charmer.

Don't get me wrong: I know Baylor is a good school academically. But mandatory chapel, living in Waco, butt-ugly uniforms (don't laugh, I've had players tell me that the SMU uniforms played into their decision to come to the Hilltop) and knowing their going to get fed to Kansas, Texas, OU, even A&M .... yet recruits from Senegal to South Oak Cliff want to go play there.
Yup, must be a super salesman.

If Drew assembles enough talent, Baylor won't get fed to those schools but will be able compete with them.

C'mon, Sic'em-- Drew is not staying in Wacko long enough to 'compete'.

SWC: are you hearing of schools going after him, or does he want out?

Once he sniffs the NCAA, he'll be gone.
