McElroy...

Postby BringBackThePonies03 » Tue Feb 21, 2006 8:51 pm

So have we offered him? He sounds like a great player, his 4.32 speed is irreplaceable, with that he could play a variety of positions and offer us some great versatility. If anyone could put the link to his rivals or scout profile that would be great or post any premium stories that have been written up, if there have been any.

New Rivals article indicates that Baylor, Tech, SMU, and A&M are the top schools right now for McElroy, but TCU is also coming into the picture. He just wants to go somewhere where he can play right away.

If the coaches want him to redshirt, I'll try to get him a starting job in the press box for a year.

Even if it doesn't last...I like seeing us being considered in the same breath with A&M, Baylor and Tech!

Just stating a fact. How can a Tenor hate on another Tenor? Here in Robinson you'd be excommunicated and stripped of your Spirit Mop duties.

Per rivals, he has offers from SMU and Baylor, and says he is getting attention from "Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Colorado, Nebraska, Northwestern, Colorado St., Duke, Rice, Tulane, and Oklahoma are either planning trips to Uvalde or have already been there."

Rivals says he plans to visit (doesn't say whether they're official or unofficial, or even to camps) Duke, Northwestern, Baylor, SMU, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and Colorado St.

Not a huge surprise -- that's where his dad played.
Good luck, I guess.
