Jonathan Wills, a 6-5 senior wing from Southern California, is in the process of setting up home visits and official visits. He gave us an update last night on the schools that are involved with him...

Jonathan Wills, 6-5 SR SF Lakewood (Calif.) Mayfair, told us last night that there are four primary schools in his recruitment at this point, with a couple others that have shown late interest.

"San Francisco came in on the 13th for a home visit," said Wills. SMU came in today. Colorado State is coming in next week and Pepperdine is supposed to come to my school."

We asked Wills about official visits.

"I'll probably go to USF in the next two weeks," said Wills. "But I think I'll probably visit all four of them.

Wills mentioned Nevada and Clemson as two schools that have shown some interest of late.

We asked Wills about the timing of his decision.

"Most likely, I'll sign in November, if the right school offers," said Wills.

Sorry, I don't. Perhaps someone else on the board does or can get them.

6-5 JR SF/SG Lakewood (Calif.) Mayfair, is a great-looking prospect with a high upside. Wills has very good range on his shot and he's capable of getting very hot beyond the stripe. He's not yet consistent with his shot, but he has a chance to be recruited at a high level.

We spoke with Wills yesterday and asked him about the schools that have shown the most interest in him so far.

"Long Beach State and Cal State Northridge have offered," said Wills. "Utah, Stanford, Arizona State, Cal State Fullerton and Iowa State have also been showing interest."

We asked Wills what he is looking for in a school.

"I want to go someplace where I can play right away," said Wills. "Also someplace with good academics. The location doesn't really matter."

Wills doesn't sound as if he's close to making a decision.

"I'll probably decide sometime after the summer," said Wills.

Wills said that a Big 12 program was his favorite school when growing up.

"Texas was my favorite," said Wills. "I'd watch them on television and I liked the way they'd play. They'd run, but also have good halfcourt sets."

Wills told us he has a 3.3 GPA.
