Jevan Sneed To Transfer to a School Near You?

Postby Stallion » Wed Nov 01, 2006 1:44 am

El Paso TV station report says Sneed has made secret overtures to TCU, Houston and UTEP to gauge interest if he were to transfer. Of course, Colt McCoy is starting to get a stranglehold on the UT job for the next 3 years.

I'd rather see him stay in OrangeCowTown than at any of those. Dude can play.

I think it's great that Willis is putting his own stranglehold on our position for 3 years after this, but this is the ONLY downfall of a freshman QB doing so, is that it helps future recruiting of another QB. Snead is looking to play, as he should. Would he consider us if we didn't have a QB entrenched? Hopefully we'll still be able to get some good QB recruits the next few years. Logan Turner does not look bad at all

-Former Stephenville head coach finding success in CUSA using similar offense to that which Stephenville uses. Check.

-Former Stephenville High QB finishing off four year college career while setting numerous school records. Check.

-No stud QB waiting in the wings to take over the position. Check.

-Former Stephenville QB stcuk behind Colt on the depth chart with a redshirt year to use during the season he must sit out. Check.

I would have to guess he is leaning pretty strong towards UH. It seemed to work for Kolb and Briles why wouldn't it work for Snead and Briles. This is all purely speculation but seems like a strong possibility to me.
