Ponymon- Thats great. Maybe one day he'll even attend a game. That way he might actually SEE the program that he's making descisions over. Wouldnt that be nifty?
Yes XtC that would be nice. However, I was addressing the NOTICEABLE pickup in Rhonda's recruiting, not Orsini's interest in her particular program. Orsini comes in and all of the sudden Rhonda is getting STATEWIDE recruits. Coincidence?
No, not coincidence. Fantasy. Rhonda had one of her best recruiting classes last year, this seasons freshmen, all of whom signed prior to Orsini's arrival. Prior to Copeland announcing his retirement, actually. As Charleston Pony points out, the group who are currently juniors were not a bad class, either. I like the recruits we have coming in, but "all of a sudden" is a misperception.
You seem to be working under the perception that Orisini came in and lit a fire under Rhonda, and somehow inspired her to do her job better. Just like that. Magic. Horsecrap. She does the best she can, always has and always will, she's a very intense and driven person. No one ever needed to light a fire under Rhonda, she's a bit of a volcano. If anything, she sometimes gets a little too tense. Your insinuation is that she was somehow lying down on the job until Orsini came in and made everything better. Orsini doesnt care, his reaction to the womens team has been fairly torpid disinterest.
I didnt intend to make a big thing about this, but frankly your posts are an insult to the people who actually did the work, and you're trying to ascribe credit to someone who did nothing. Its nice that you like Orsini so much, and he seems to have big plans for football and mens basketball. He may do great things there. But, he had nothing to do with the subject of this particular thread.
I really dont understand what you mean by STATEWIDE recruits. Take a look at our roster sometime, and see where our players come from.
