Is Rice Adopting the Stallion Model?I was strolling through the Rice board and notice that they claim they are getting a JUCO All-American LM that will be in school for the next semester and a "throw back" professional baseball player. I thought I'd just check out what they are doing in JUCO recruiting. Notice three additional JUCO prospects listed interest in Rice not including the ones listed above. This is strong indication that Rice is serious about improving their competitive stature in athletics- a good sign I think for CUSA. In the previous 5 years Rice has not had a single JUCO showing interest in the school according to the Rivals Database.
Question is will we respond by being even more self-righteous or will we look in the mirror and undertake the necessary changes to win championships? From the language I've heard our administration is satisfied with competing in our league. I want to win in Conference-USA and compete with the BCS schools.
Outstanding Top 50
Great Top 60 Good Top 70 Average Top 80 Poor Top 90 Play Tapps: Below 100 That's just my first impression. Again quality offers from quality programs is more important to me but if I had to answer this would be approximately my impression. Of course, they have average ratings per player and average per class ratings which often can vary widely. If its a small class or a huge class might be better to average the two ratings.
