This will be my last view of this thread because it has gone a little far and is not even remotely about recruiting anymore.

QB Springer carried your team all year to some borderline wins, some routs. He played well all year -- but, when he played a real team, with a real offense, and a defense that wasn't even good, he got exposed. Sure, his stats looked good when you posted them...313 yards passing and 144 yards rushing.

What you failed to mention was that QB Springer threw for 313 yards, while passing the ball 42 times. 18 for 42 -- 43% against a mediocre defense. Oh, and Springer threw 2 picks and 0 TDs in the first half when the game was sort of in reach. I'll also be damned if most of those completions weren't on the last 2 or 3 drives -- same with a lot of the rushing yards.

The kid can run the ball, but what fast QB can't in high school?!

Your QB could turn into a solid utility player at S or WR, but he won't be a starting QB in D1.

Off the topic of the QB:

As for the game not being out of reach? It was 31-0 with 4 or 5 minutes left in the 3Q. You say I wasn't there? Wow you're naive. Los Fresnos got blasted and the score didn't do the game justice. LF was never in it after the 1Q.

"mediocre defense"

Um..that mediocre defense managed to play well enough to get them to the state title game.

Your QB could turn into a solid utility player at S or WR, but he won't be a starting QB in D1.

NOW you're saying he can't be a D1 STARTER, when earlier you said he couldn't be a D1 QB.

I guess you did a little research and realized that there are D1 schools that are interested in him.

I hope those schools don't read you're posts because they might change their mind (shaking a bottle of yoo-hoo).

Wow. I read that and decided I had to post one last time.

Do you think Idaho's 4th string walk-on quarterback is a D1 quarterback?

How about the 3rd string at Temple, scholarship or not.

They are backups at bad schools for a reason.

Thus, if QB Springer won't be a D1 starter anywhere...and probably not a backup...you fill in the rest.

Or I guess you could try to come up with more excuses for why 3rd string walk-on quarterbacks at FAU is a legit D1 quarterback.

And, you moron, Austin Westlake made it to the state finals by out-scoring other teams -- not by playing defense. Get a clue.

Stallion has such a man crush on the Dodge boys he has not realized that fact.

One of the 2 has committed:

6'4 220 MLB Springer has just committed to be a Sun Devil.

The other 6'4 190 QB with 3450 yards 42 TD and 8 int has not committed anywhere............YET.

The QB, Jeremy Springer has just committed to UTEP.

That makes 2 DI recruits from LF and probably 2 next year.

MLB Justin Springer de-committed from ASU and is now committed to Kansas.
