Reading this board it looks as though several potential players are being recruited that have had some problems in their first or second year of college. It seems that Coach Jones (sounds a little odd first time I write this!), beleives that a kid often does require a second chance or change of scenery and some personal guidance from him and his staff. Seems like it will be good for the boy and the school. Nothing like agressive leadership and a role model to help turn a young man.

He gave Colt Brennan one. That worked out pretty well.

It also indicates that he is not afraid of his shaddow--not tied to the old model where an Eagle Scout with a 3.0 average wouldn't be admitted.

Actually, he'd be admitted but only if he'd earned his Swinging Gate Merit badge.
