Prep School Prospects

Postby SMU 86 » Tue Jan 22, 2008 5:08 pm

I wonder if JJ is interested in any prep school prospects. There seems to be a lot of good ones that are uncommitted.

Most kids at Prep school are sign and place. Even if they don't show a commitment, usually they commited to someone prior to graduation and still favor them strongly.

Not the best place to grab kids

Someone makes a nice donation for a scholarship to those prep schools. My guess is that its from a donor affiliated with some university. That said, Hargrave, Fork Union are two of the better ones to get some good players, but me is right, they usually were placed there because they couldn't get into their committed school. Wasn't Columbus Givens a Fork Union product?

I noticed a few on the list that did not have any schools listed tha they were talking with and some that had had some visits and had not made up their mind. Anyway, just a thought.

Nope. He came out of high school in Killeen.

Curtiss Powell was from Fork Union, he was a 3 Star LB that was only here a RS year and got ran off if I remember correctly. Sure could have used some LB's this year.
