I would still like to see about 5 more big guys coming in. Maybe that is more than what scholarships SMU has available, I don't know, but if not, i sure would be nice to really load up.

i think the trinity lineman would be a great addition at DT and the more big men the better, "battles are won in the trenches!!!" :D

Found this in the article from Texas Football:


"Recruiting isn't always all the excitement it's cracked up to be -- Copperas Cove DT Steven Welch found that out the hard way when SFA's new coordinator recently pulled a long-standing offer (an original verbal in October and a re-confirmation in December). Cove head coach -- also the father -- Jack Welch called it "one of the sorriest things" he'd seen as a coach, and noted that the younger Welch had turned down DI offers months ago when he committed to the Lumberjacks, and those DI programs have since moved on."

I'm having a hard time believing someone would go to SFA over a D1 school to play football unless it was a case where someone would choose SFA to play their position like a qb going there instead of going to NTSU to be a WR
