Teammate time!

Postby PonyFan » Thu Nov 07, 2002 1:36 pm

There are several guys who already are playing at SMU, or who have committed to play next year at SMU, who need to get on the phone and start selling the school to some of their high school teammates.

Freshman DL Randy Denman needs to get Dayton OL Kharylake Martin.

Freshman RB (and incoming DE Desmond Jones) needs to get TE Paschal Smith and the huge OL they have down there at Dallas Carter.

Flower Mound (Marcus) OL Caleb Peveto needs to bring in DB Reid Bowie.

Incoming OL Justin Boren needs to bring in Colleyville (Heritage) TE J.B. Phillips.

And I'm sure there are more. But players can be just as effective, if not more so, than coaches when it comes to recruiting. Let's put them to use!

Don't forget Duncanville grad Rolando Humphrey. If he can get Duncanville ATH Tommy Devereaux, this class will go from encouraging to awesome.

The list in the Dallas Morning News listed Devereaux's schools as Arizona, Texas, Kansas State, LSU and Oklahoma State.

Think the new developments with Sgt. Mackovic will remove Arizona from his list?
